In this presentation, the principles of Helicord are described in detail with respect to the production process of welding wire. Besides, the application of PTFE-dispersions and the use of Helicord for abrasive and solvent aided cleaning of Al-wire, as well as for lubricating to enhance feedability are explained, some concrete examples are given.
